At AssessZen, we take your privacy seriously. This document explains our data collection, usage, and protection protocols.

1. Information Collected for Assessments

When you participate in an assessment on AssessZen, we collect specific data required for the evaluation process: • Candidate Profile: Name and email provided by you or the inviting organization. • Assessment Submissions: Your code, written answers, multiple-choice selections, and time-taken per question. • Proctoring Data: Logged events such as tab switching, copy-paste attempts, and browser metadata to ensure assessment integrity. • Device Data: IP address and browser version to prevent multiple-session fraud.

2. Usage of Assessment Data

AssessZen uses your data solely to facilitate the hiring evaluation for the organization that invited you: • Scoring: Automating the evaluation of your code against test cases. • Reporting: Generating detailed performance reports for the organization's recruiters. • Security: Verifying that the assessment was completed according to the organization's proctoring rules. • Support: Troubleshooting technical issues during your live session.

3. Data Ownership and Sharing

AssessZen acts as a Data Processor for the organization (the Data Controller) that invited you to an assessment. • Organization Access: The inviting organization has full access to your assessment results and proctoring logs. • No Third-Party Sales: AssessZen does not sell your code or personal data to any third-party advertisers or external entities. • Infrastructure Providers: We use industry-leading secure cloud infrastructure solely to host and execute your assessments in isolated environments.

4. Security Infrastructure

We protect the integrity of every assessment through: • Sandbox Isolation: Every code execution occurs in a secure, isolated environment. • Encryption: All data is securely encrypted both in transit and at rest. • Role-Based Access: Only authorized recruiters within your inviting organization can view your results. • Audit Logs: Every administrative action within an organization's organization is logged.

5. Candidate Data Retention

Assessment results are retained based on the inviting organization's requirements. Typically, AssessZen maintains records for the duration of the organization's active subscription to allow for historical hiring analysis. Candidates wishing to exercise their right to deletion should primarily contact the organization that invited them, as AssessZen processes data on their behalf.

6. Platform Cookies

AssessZen uses essential session cookies to: • Maintain your active assessment state. • Prevent unauthorized access to your test session. • Ensure your progress is saved automatically if your connection drops.
